Privacy Policy
What we collect
When you request an on-site due diligence report, we collect what you email us: your name and email address, the details of the factory you are asking about, and the commercial context of your intended order. Nothing else is required.
How we use it
- To prepare your report, to schedule and conduct the site visit, and to deliver the report to your email address.
- To communicate with you about the assignment. We do not use your data for marketing, and we do not send newsletters.
What we never do
- We never sell your data.
- We never tell the factory who hired us. Unless you explicitly ask us to visit as your appointed representative, the supplier does not learn that you commissioned a report. Your enquiry is confidential and one-directional.
- We never accept money from Chinese suppliers, factories, or sourcing agents. This is not a privacy preference — it is the condition that makes our judgement possible.
- We never collect private personal data about individuals — no ID numbers, home addresses, or private contact details — whether about you or about the people we observe during a visit.
Photographs
Photos taken during a site visit show a place of business during business hours. They are delivered to you only, and are not published or reused without your written permission.
How long we keep it
Assignment records are retained for 24 months so we can answer follow-up questions about the same factory, then deleted. You can request deletion at any time by replying to any email from us.
Third parties
Payment is processed by our payment provider, which receives only what is strictly required to process the transaction. This website uses a cookie-free, privacy-friendly analytics counter that records page views without identifying visitors. We do not run advertising trackers or sell behavioural data.
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Email us and we will act within 30 days.
Terms of Service
What you are buying
A written professional assessment based on one on-site visit to a factory in our coverage area, combined with publicly available Chinese records, delivered in English by the analyst who conducted the visit. The assessment is signed by that analyst.
Scope and coverage
- We work in Dongguan, Shenzhen, Huizhou and Chaoshan (Guangdong, China), in five industries: injection molding, plastics processing, machining, electronics, and printing & packaging. Assignments outside this scope are declined at no charge.
- Visits are conducted either openly as your appointed representative or discreetly as an ordinary prospective-buyer visit, at your choice. The report states under which capacity the visit took place.
- We do not supervise production, inspect goods in production, perform outgoing quality control, or act as your representative after the report is delivered.
- We do not access non-public company records. On-site, we observe what a visitor can lawfully observe; at the desk, we read what any member of the public can read — and interpret it.
Payment and refunds
- Payment is due after we confirm we can take the assignment, and before the site visit.
- If the factory refuses the visit, you receive a short written note recording the refusal and what the desk research showed, and the balance is refunded.
- If the report tells you nothing you did not already know, reply within 7 days of delivery and we refund the full amount. No justification required.
Confidentiality
Your commission is confidential. Except where you have chosen an announced visit, we will not contact the supplier or disclose that you asked about them.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the report. We are not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, or consequential loss arising from a commercial decision you make.
Disclaimer
- We are not affiliated with any government body. We are not a Chinese government agency, not a chamber of commerce, and not a recognised certification body.
- We are a one-person service. Reports are researched, written and signed by one analyst. This is stated openly on our website because it is part of what you are buying; it also means capacity is limited and turnaround times are honest rather than optimistic.
- Our output is an opinion. It is a professional judgement formed from one site visit, public records, and ten years of industry experience. A factory's condition changes; a report reflects the day it was made. Reasonable professionals can disagree. It is an input to your decision, not a substitute for it.
- We represent the buyer only. We take no payment from factories, suppliers, trading companies or sourcing agents — and never will. If that ever changes, this page will say so.
- No attorney-client or fiduciary relationship is created by your use of this site or service.
